In January 2018, our decision to enter the world of urban air mobility took shape. During the following months, our numerous meetings with manufacturers in the sector reinforced our desire to carry out an ambitious project around the creation of an innovative drone transport offer. Let’s take a look back at this common desire to undertake in the urban mobility sector, born at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.
CES in Las Vegas, the starting point of the Buttairfly adventure
Focus on the Consumer Electronic Show
CES (Consumer Electronic Show) is one of the world’s largest technology shows. This event, although virtual in 2021 due to the pandemic, nevertheless remains the High Mass of Tech, the obligatory step for all companies wishing to present their latest innovations.
Delivery and transport drones: the race is on
Our passion for drones as an innovative and universal means of transport became apparent during the 2018 edition of the show.
In the collective imagination, drone technology is still in its infancy. In fact, it is already operational. The next step in this disruptive revolution is to anticipate the regulations organizing the flight by drones with transport of people. Which country will see the leader develop in this high added value market ? France, China? The United States ? The bets are open !
After CES, let’s go to ADW !
After CES in Las Vegas, Amsterdam Drone Week (ADW) allowed us to accelerate the Buttairfly project. We have met the main global drone players offering fast, safe, accessible and environmentally friendly service in the near future.
In 2021, we are concretely stepping up our development in order to take advantage of the outstanding traction that Buttairfly is already generating. And one thing is certain: if you attend a trade fair dedicated to the mobility of tomorrow, we will not be far!
